Renaissance Man provides artistic scientific representation either in 3-D models or traditional illustrations. Trained in fossil ammonite identification and preparation with the Geological Survey of Canada, Rod Bartlett has over 15 years of experience in the field of scientific representation. His works are the result of long painstaking research and collaboration with scientific authorities, guaranteeing accurate final products. A considerable background has been enhanced by studies with Vancouver sculptors Frank Perry and George Norris, The Emily Carr College of Art, and an interest in biology that started three decades ago.

Copies of current works are available, and new commissions are welcome! Please contact Rod at Renaissance.Man@shaw.ca

Conodont Element Models Conodonts are tiny tooth-like fossils no bigger than 2 mm. Although excellent index fossils, their small size creates study problems. Renaissance Man makes scientifically accurate plastic models, to order. The same techniques can be applied to most other microfossils as well.
